Samantha Crush, also known by her artist name "10,000-winged robin" is a devout follower of Jesus, composer, illustrator and growing conductor. Her music has been performed in the states of New York, Illinois, Louisiana, and Michigan. Most recently, Samantha was selected as a participant for the 2026-2027 precept.concept.percept composer residency program in Bled, Slovenia. Samantha was also recently commissioned to compose The Human Cry, which was premiered by the Wheaton College Symphonic Band in the Spring of 2026. Her piece Cingulomania won 2nd place in Wheaton Conservatory's annual composer's competition for 2024. Cingulomania was also selected and performed for the 2025 New Music on the Bayou festival. Samantha has also been a 3-year volunteer instructor of composition through the non-profit organization "Through the Staff". In the summer of 2025, she participated in the "Through the Staff" Summer Series as a teacher and taught classes in Arranging and Song Writing. In 2024, Her piece, In Virtue of Two Animated Souls was commissioned by the Smithtown West Sax Quintet and performed live at Smithtown High School West. In 2020, her piece Heaven's Little Tune won the 2nd place prize in the annual MYO Emerging Composer's Competition. Samantha recently recieved her Bachelor's of Music in Music Composition from Wheaton College, Conservatory of Music. In the Fall of 2026, Samantha will be attending Louisiana State University for her Master's of Music in Composition.
